Skull Island Tiger Prawn
At an impressive six prawns per pound, these skull island tiger prawn are among the largest you will find from Australia, prized for their size, firm texture, and naturally sweet flavor.
They are responsibly harvested in the pristine waters of the Gulf of Carpentaria by our carbon-neutral partners at Northern Prawn Fishery, a fishery known worldwide for its strict sustainability standards and careful stewardship of the ocean.
To lock in that just-caught freshness, the prawns are flash-frozen on board before the vessel even returns to port. Every order is shipped with dry ice to ensure they arrive fully frozen and in peak condition.

How to Prepare
For best results, thaw slowly:
Remove the prawns from their original packaging.
Place them in a sealed plastic bag.
Let them thaw in the refrigerator for 6 to 8 hours.
Need them sooner?
Keep the sealed bag under a stream of cool running water until thawed.
Do not use hot water, as it can affect texture and flavor.
Once thawed, drain off any excess liquid and pat the prawns dry. Season or marinate both sides, then cook using your preferred method, grill, pan-sear, or barbecue all work beautifully with these large, meaty prawns.
